Unbolt the brake lines and the shocks from the differential.

Working on one side at a time, remove clam shell.
|
|
|
Often the center bolts are rusted and will not unbolt, using a C clamp and a Sawzall reduces the risk of busting your bones with a hammer and chisel.
|
|
To make room for the add-a-leaf in the clam shell, remove All the steel spacers and dirt in-between the leafs.
|
|
|
With the center bolt tightened and the extra cut off with a Sawzall, it's time to put it all back together.
|
|
It's helpful to use a ratchet strap to pull the axle into proper alignment.
