We partnered with Sunburn Schematics to bring you the components required to perform a GEN III or GEN IV LS-Based Engine Swap for your Chevrolet Astro or GMC Safari. These components are Designed by Sunburn Schematics and Manufactured by Journeys Off Road.
This kit includes:
- Adjustable Motor Mounts
- AC Compressor Relocation Bracket
- Coil Pack Relocation Brackets
- All necessary hardware
This kit does require the use of the 2" or 3" Subframe Kit from Journeys Off Road, it does not work with a Lowered or Non-Lifted Astro/Safari.

This kit can be installed in a 1996-2005, AWD, Chevrolet Astro / GMC Safari without requiring any modification of the engine oil pan, providing comfortable clearance for the front differential. No major modifications were made to the frame or the body of the Astro/Safari as well.
We are currently exploring the compatibility with 1st Generation Astro/Safari Vans from 1986-1994

Prerequisite Components:
- The "Motor Mounts" are specifically made for the Astro/Safari to optimize the mounting location of the GEN III and GEN IV LS Motor.
- The "Coil Pack Relocation Kit" was made because existing coil pack location interfered with the Astro/Safari “Doghouse”
- The "AC Relocation Bracket" is only needed because no existing AC relocation lets the OEM AC Compressor fit into the Astro/Safari after conversion.
